Gilson is no stranger to art directing photo shoots for printed collateral and product packaging. For years, the Gilson team has managed the photography and design of FloraCraft’s prized craft guides, featuring project ideas for the company’s extruded foam and floral foam products. To increase brand exposure and minimize distribution costs, Gilson proposed a special ten-page FloraCraft feature in Better Homes & Gardens magazine. FloraCraft jumped at the chance to expand recognition of the company’s products and build a broader national customer base. The company invited Gilson to coordinate and art direct the photo shoots, resulting in dazzling magazine advertisements composed of a budget-friendly mix of new display photography and existing images.
